# Space for AI & high-density computing

Canonical source: https://rivermarkproperty.com/services/ai-high-density-colocation/

Find a facility that can be assessed against your hardware requirements. We identify options for AI and other high-density deployments, gather operator responses and arrange introductions for your technical team.

## How we help.

- Agree the locations, initial capacity and deployment dates to investigate.
- Use your team’s hardware and facility brief when approaching operators.
- Compare stated power, cooling arrangements, available space and open technical questions.
- Arrange discussions with shortlisted operators so your team can test the proposed fit.

### Who this is for

- A business installing its own AI, accelerator or high-performance computing equipment.
- A team whose proposed rack density or cooling needs exceed its current facility arrangements.
- An adviser coordinating the space search while the client’s engineers specify the deployment.

### Typical enquiries

- An AI team looking for a private cage for its own equipment.
- A high-performance computing deployment that needs a particular cooling arrangement.
- A business comparing locations for an initial installation and a later capacity increase.

## Specify the equipment first.

A building described as AI-ready still needs to be checked against the equipment you plan to install.

### Power at the rack and across the deployment

Keep the demand for an individual rack separate from the total requirement.

- Record the units and the assumptions supplied by your technical team.
- Ask the operator what capacity can be made available to this deployment and when.
- Identify any limits on how capacity can be distributed between cabinets.

### The cooling arrangement

Air and liquid cooling have different facility interfaces and responsibilities.

- Provide the hardware supplier’s facility requirements rather than relying on a general description.
- Ask which cooling equipment and connections each party would supply.
- Have the operator and your engineers resolve compatibility, installation and acceptance questions.

### The rest of the installation

Access, connectivity and the delivery route can affect whether a facility works for the project.

- Check equipment dimensions, floor loading and handling with the operator.
- Identify required network connections and their delivery dates.
- Separate space availability from the date the complete installation could be accepted.

## Tell us the essentials.

Share what you know. We can discuss the rest.

- Hardware specification, cabinet dimensions and weight where known.
- Total IT power and the expected demand per rack, with units.
- Your hardware supplier’s cooling and environmental requirements.
- Connectivity, security, access and operational constraints.
- Preferred locations, first deployment date, expansion stages and budget.

### Before work starts

We discuss the property requirement, the work and the fees with you. Those are agreed in writing before Rivermark starts work or contacts anyone about a property.

## Common questions.

### Can you help before the hardware specification is complete?

Yes. Share the intended use, location and timing. We can discuss an initial search, recording which power and cooling details your team still needs to provide.

### Do you supply GPUs or computing capacity?

This service finds physical space for equipment. It does not supply hardware or sell cloud computing. Our compute infrastructure guide explains the distinction.

### Do you certify a facility as AI-ready?

No. We collect provider information and identify questions. Your technical team, hardware supplier and the facility operator confirm whether the installation can be supported.

### Can you find liquid-cooled space?

We can include your specified cooling requirement in the search. The operator must confirm the actual arrangement, available capacity and responsibilities; a general liquid-cooling claim is not enough.
